What I’ve Been Up To Lately: Innovations, New Ventures, and a Sustainability Mission

Hello everyone!

It’s been a whirlwind of a year, and I thought it was time to share some updates on what I’ve been working on lately. Since stepping into my role as Chief Innovation and Technology Officer at Pure Sports Technologies earlier this year, I’ve had the opportunity to dig into some exciting new projects and further develop technologies that combine high performance with sustainability—two key goals that have always been close to my heart.

Consolidating Data and Streamlining Operations

One of my early projects at Pure Sports was to streamline our operations through technology. I developed a custom app that centralizes everything we need to know about our products in one place. This app now serves as the company’s data powerhouse, consolidating model numbers, design specs, serial numbers, and production details into one accessible, interactive system. It’s been a huge boost for efficiency across the team!

Building Our Own Equipment

In our production process, customization is everything. To ensure we have the control and flexibility we need, I designed and built our own manufacturing equipment—presses, injection molds, and even custom control systems that can be monitored remotely. This approach has allowed us to produce everything in-house with the precision and consistency that sports technology demands.

A Milestone in Sustainability: Upcycled Carbon Fiber Program with Boeing

One of the most exciting projects I’ve worked on recently has been the development of an upcycled carbon fiber program in partnership with Boeing. By identifying opportunities to repurpose Boeing’s carbon fiber waste, I pitched and developed a solution that transformed this material into high-performance components for sports equipment. This initiative not only diverts waste from landfills but also cuts down on our production costs—proof that sustainability and innovation can go hand in hand.

Our carbon fiber products have been making waves in the industry, and the project has even gained media coverage from The New York Times, Wired, and Sports Illustrated. It’s a proud moment to see this work recognized, and it inspires me to keep pushing forward with sustainable technology.

Expanding My Experience Across Industries

Throughout my career, I’ve been fortunate to work with some of the biggest names across multiple industries, from NASA and Disney to Nike and the U.S. military. Working with composite materials and cutting-edge designs for clients in aerospace, defense, and consumer goods has given me a unique perspective on innovation, and I’m always eager to bring that experience back to the table as I continue developing products at Pure Sports.

Looking to the Future

As I move forward, I’m excited to keep building technology solutions that blend performance with technology and innovation. I’m also looking forward to connecting with more innovators and businesses facing unique technology challenges—I’m passionate about finding solutions that not only address today’s needs but also pave the way for a more sustainable future.

Thank you for following along! Stay tuned for more updates on what’s next, and feel free to reach out if you’re interested in connecting. Whether it’s a new partnership, a technology challenge, or just exchanging ideas, I’d love to hear from you.
